These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Honors Prep website (honorsprep.com), web application (app.honorsprep.com), and tutoring services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Services
Honors Prep provides private, one-on-one tutoring services in New York City. Sessions may be conducted in person or online via Zoom. We also operate a web application where clients can manage scheduling, view session notes, and handle billing.
Accounts
To use our web application, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@honorsprep.com.
Scheduling and Cancellations
Sessions are scheduled between you and your assigned tutor. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full at our discretion.
Payments
Tutoring is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Payments are processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge for completed sessions and any applicable fees. All charges are in U.S. dollars. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
Rates and Fees
Our tutoring rates are communicated to you before services begin. We reserve the right to adjust rates with reasonable advance notice. Rate changes will not apply to sessions already scheduled at the time of the change.
Conduct
We expect respectful, professional interactions between clients, students, and tutors. We reserve the right to discontinue services if a client or student engages in abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate behavior.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website and web application — including text, design, logos, and materials — is the property of Honors Prep and may not be reproduced without our written permission. Custom materials prepared by tutors for individual students are provided for personal educational use only.
Limitation of Liability
Honors Prep provides tutoring services in good faith, but we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, test scores, or admissions results. Our services are educational in nature and results depend on many factors beyond our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honors Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or web application.
Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Termination
Either party may end the tutoring relationship at any time. You are responsible for payment for any sessions completed before termination. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Kings County, New York.
